A new feast day!

Tomorrow our community of All Saints and Sorts will observe the first ever Feast Day of any faith community of Blessed Irena of Poland. This wonderful lady saved hundreds of Jewish folke and others from the Nazis at the risk of her life and we give thanks for her witness and humanity. We have composed a first Collect for her Feast Day.

A Collect for the Feast Day of Blessed Irena of Poland: O Gracious Lover of Our Souls we rejoice this day in the life of your servant Irena who in the Name of Your Love gave shelter and sanctuary at the risk of her own life to many of your Children and Servants of Israel. We bless you for her example and we ask her prayers as we too walk our pilgrimage and may we like her, if called upon, live out as she did Your Love for those excluded or in danger, for Sweet Jesus Sake who with You and the Holy Spirit reigns one God now and unto Ages of Ages Amen+
